Just a reminder that tonight at 7:00 p.m. Kevin Pottle, Principal of Leo Hayes High School will be at Nashwaaksis Middle School to give a presentation about life at Leo Hayes.  We look forward to seeing many of our grade 8 parents here.

We will be hosting our first annual Move-a-thon on Thursday on the outside track at school. It is an all-day event and we are looking for volunteers to come assist with many different activities during thevday. If you are interested in volunteering, you can call the school at 453-5436 or email Janice MacFarlane, one of our Friends of NMS co-chairs at jmacfarlane1@Rogers.com. Mr. Springer is looking for new students who may be interested in attending the 2012 Ottawa Education Excursion. There are a few seats available for the June trip. If you are not on the Ottawa trip, in grade 8, and possibly want to attend, Mr. Springer wants to talk to you. Parents can contact Mr. Springer by email at Brent.springer@nbed.nb.ca and students can come and talk to Mr. Springer on Monday at school.

We will be holding s school dance on Thursday evening, May 10th.  The dance wil run from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. in the fieldhouse.  The cost is $ 5.00.  Drop off for all students will be in the front parking lot of the school and pick up will be for the grade 6 students in the same spot.  All grade 7 and 8 students will get picked up in the back swimming pool parking lot.  If you are interested in supervising at th edance, please feel free to contact the school at 453-5436.
