Ladies and Gentlemen,

We had our first shootout of the year today at lunch time...the Canucks and Red Wings battled to the bitter end, and in the end the Red Wings came out on top by a score of 5-4. It was the Red Wings that jumped out early with a 2-0 lead only to see the Canucks knot the game at 2. The Red Wings continued to take a one goal lead only to see the Canucks tie it back up. The final goal of the game came with less than a minute left as Dylan Goodine ripped a shot past the Red Wing goaltender as Matt Stephens was in the box for high-sticking.

Please be advised that we will be collecting all week to support 14 families within our school.  If you are able to donate, please do so through your child.  Thanks for all your assistance in helping make Christmas a little easier for some of our own.

Mr. Hickey’s Grade 8 students have been volunteering within their community as a part of the PRA course he teaches. This has shown to be a wonderful way for students to become more active in their community and help others while broadening their perspective of the world around them.
Thank you to both the students, for taking this opportunity to be active and lend a helping hand, and to Mr. Hickey for offering this opportunity!
